SAMOYED BREEDERS AND OWNERS LEAGUE
Criteria for Judging Lists 2020
A1 List
For persons who have previously been approved by the Kennel Club to award C. C’s in the breed and has completed their first appointment. To have the support of the Samoyed Breeders and Owners League. (KC Policy).
A2 List
For persons who fulfil all the requirements for the A3 list and who have been assessed in accordance with KC Requirements and accepted by the K.C. for inclusion on an A2 list and have the support of the S.B.O.L. (KC Policy)
A3 List (Breed Specialists)
- Minimum of seven years judging experience in the breed and have the support of the S.B.O.L.
- To have judged at 1 Breed Club Show or three breed club Supported Entry Shows.
- To have judged a minimum of 30 Samoyed Classes.
- To have judged a minimum of 70 Samoyeds. (KC Policy-number optional by club).
- To have attended a seminar given by a K.C. Accredited Trainer and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures.(K.C. Policy as of 1.7.2001)
- To have attended a seminar given by a K.C. Accredited Trainer on Points of the Dog Assessment .(K.C. Policy as of 1.7.2001)
- To have attended a Hands-on Assessment conducted by a Kennel Club Trainer and passed the assessment.(K.C. Policy as of 1.7.2005)
- To have attended at least one breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination or assessment where applicable.(K.C. Policy as of 1.7.2001)
- To have bred or owned a minimum of 3 dogs when they obtained their first entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book, (Save in exceptional circumstances) (K.C. Policy).
- To have stewarded at 12 shows.(K.C. Policy)
A3 List (Non Breed Specialists)
- Minimum of seven years judging experience in any one breed, (to include 5 years in Samoyeds) and have the support of the S.B.O.L.
- To have judged at a Breed Club Show or three Breed Club Supported Entry Shows.
- To have judged a minimum of 40 classes of Samoyeds.
- To have judged 90 Samoyeds.(KC Policy number optional by Club)
- To have awarded CCs in at least one other breed (KC Policy).
- To have attended at least one breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination or assessment where applicable.(K.C. Policy as of 1.7.2001)
- To have bred or owned a minimum of 3 dogs of any breed when they obtained their first entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book, (Save in exceptional circumstances) (K.C. Policy).
B List – Breed Specialists
- To have 5 years experience owning and exhibiting Samoyeds and have the support of the S.B.O.L.
- To have judged 4 classes of Samoyeds at Open shows or Championship Shows without C.C.s
- To have judged 8 Samoyeds.
B List – Non Specialists
- To have a minimum of 5 years judging in any one breed and have the support of the S.B.O.L.
- To have judged 8 classes of Samoyeds at Open shows or Championship shows without C.C.s
- To have judged 16 Samoyeds. (Save in exceptional circumstances.)
C List
For both Breed Specialists and Non Breed Specialists.
For aspirant judges who have shown an interest in Samoyeds and have the support of the S.B.O.L.
(Listings would normally include persons who have judged the breed at Limited or Open shows but who do not yet qualify for the B lists).
